“Control for heterogeneous 1D reaction-diffusion equations” | Slides (Maicon Sônego)

Abstract. In this talk we are interested in the control of reaction-diffusion equations with heterogeneities and nonlinearities of the monostable and bistable type. Using Dirichlet controls we obtain control results in infinite time that relate the heterogeneities and the length of the interval where the problem is posed. This is an early stage study in collaboration with Prof. Enrique Zuazua.

16:30H – 17:00H
Prof. Minh Binh TranSouthern Methodist University
“Some problems concerning wave turbulence and coagulation equations”

Abstract. In this talk, I will discuss the connection between wave turbulence and coagulation equations. I will propose some open problems and suggest some possible strategies to resolve those problems. The aim of the talk is to initiate some possible collaborations with the team.
